1786 New Jersey copper 1/2p, M18-M, W4890, Bridle Obverse, R2. This colonial has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as EF40 with BRIDLE on the label, PCGS coin #501. This is a very attractive, original chestnut brown example with bold details and no defects to speak of. Purchased from Ricky Gross at EAC 2025 Pittsburgh on 05/17/25. Ricky purchased this coin out of a large collection that had been stored for decades - this coin was in pristine condition despite the long storage, and was submitted raw to PCGS as it emerged from its slumber. PCGS certification# 501.40/27208127.
