1786 New Jersey Copper 1/2p M14-J W4810 Narrow Shield Straight Plow Beam PCGS VF20

1786 New Jersey copper 1/2p, M14-J, W4810, Narrow Shield with Straight Plow Beam, R1.  This example has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as VF20, and it has fantastic glossy peanut butter tan brown color.  The obverse features strong VF details including full legend, some definition in the horse's mane, nand a bold date.  A glass reveals some minor pitting to the upper right of A in NOVA, plus some smaller spots on the right side of the date.  These are minor but still visible.  The reverse is nicer and exceptionally so, with even stronger details including FULL definition inside and around the shield.  A very attractive and sharp example at this grade level with Average surfaces but certainly PLUS color and eye appeal.  Purchased from Apogee LLC on 12/14/24.  PCGS #45423.20/50892262.
