1786 New Jersey Immunis Columbia Electrotype Copy Maris 3-C Choice AU

Electrotype copy of 1786 New Jersey / Immunis Columbia Maris 3-C.  This coin last sold in the Stacks auction of November 2021, where it was described as:  

"Electrotype. 1787 New Jersey Copper, Maris 3-C. Copy of the Parmelee-Ten Eyck Coin. Essentially as Made.  158.9 grains. A lovely copy of the specimen listed as fifth finest known in the Siboni-Howes-Ish census, though interestingly not showing the light scratches at the base of the reverse of the host coin that are present today (suggesting this electro was made before those scratches appeared). Nice light brown with some hints of red color on the reverse. Some raised production artifacts are visible on the obverse.  Provenance: From the E Pluribus Unum Collection. Earlier said to be from Hans M.F. Schulman's sale of the Spiro Collection, March 1955, lot 1633."  

The coin realized $1080 in the Stacks auction on 11/21/21 as lot #10348, apparently to Mike Demling who is my consignor at EAC 05/15/22.  A very interesting copy, one that most of us could NEVER afford if it was genuine!
