Description
1786 New Jersey 1/2p, M16-L, W4840, Protruding Tongue, R2. This is a very sharp and attractive example that grades at least VF20. Bold even details on each side, with the horse's hair on the obverse and the shield lines on the reverse particularly strong. The color is quite attractive but probably not original, and there are a couple of light planchet flaws on the obverse. My EAC grade is VF20 net F12+. From the Furnace Run collection, purchased from CVM whose envelope and another insert accompanies the coin.
