1787 Fugio Cent N12-KK W6835 R6 4 Cinquefoils STATES UNITED PCGS Very Fine

From the Furnace Run collection.  1787 Fugio Cent, N12-KK, W6835, 4 Cinquefoils with STATES UNITED, R6.  This coin has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as Very Fine details scratch.  This coin was actually removed from an ANACS VF20 holder (label still with the coin), and the aforementioned scratch, which is on the lower left portion of the sundial, is certainly minor enough that the coin could/should have graded at PCGS.  Regardless, this is a nice example with attractive medium brown color and sharp VF details.  Newman 12-KK is certainly R6 with very few auction appearances.  Without that scratch this coin is double the current price, but as it is, this represents a bargain for somebody for a tough N12-KK.  The Newman 12-KK attribution is listed on the PCGS label.  Ex-eBay 2012; Furnace Run collection.
