1787 Fugio Cent N19-M W6970 R6 4 Cinquefoils STATES UNITED PCGS G6

From the Furnace Run collection.  1787 Fugio Cent, N19-M, W6970, 4 Cinquefoils with STATES UNITED, R6.  This coin has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as G6, and it's that grade if not VG8 with nice contrasting cameo colors.  As much as I LOVE the quality of my new photos, they certainly over-aggerate minor defects, and this coin is a great example.  The photos show that the coin does have some minor underlying roughness to the planchet, but that is not visible to the naked eye, and what the eye sees is quite pleasing.  This is a tougher R6 variety, and a pretty darn nice example for a G6.  The Newman 19-M attribution is listed on the PCGS label.  Ex-Ebay 2016; Furnace Run collection.
