1787 New Jersey 1/2p, M56-n, W5310, Camel Head, R1. This pretty peanut butter glossy tan brown example has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as VF20 with "Camel Head" correctly attributed on the label. This coin has solid VF20+ details on each side, and in addition to the gorgeous color, shows plain evidence of being struck over a Connecticut copper. I have not tried to identify the undertype variety, but if you are up for the challenge, have at it! Camel Heads are a common NJ variety, but finding one with glossy tan brown color like this one will likely prove to be quite difficult. ex-eBay 2015 to Furnace Run Collection; to Shawn A.
