1787 New Jersey Copper 1/2p M60-p W5340 R4 PLURIBS Error PCGS VF35 James E. Blake

From the Heritage sale of the James E. Blake collection on 09/05/23, where this was lot #93124 and described as: “1787 New Jersey Copper, VF35.  Elusive PLURIBS Variety, Maris 60-p.  1787 New Jersey Copper, PLURIBS, Maris 60-p, W-5340, R.4, VF35 PCGS. The second U in PLURIBUS was inadvertently omitted on only one reverse die of New Jersey coppers. It was paired with two different obverses to create the scarce Maris 60-p and the very scarce Maris 61-p. The present medium brown example is well-defined. A minor rim knock is noted at 1 o'clock on the reverse. Listed on page 69 of the 2024 Guide Book.  From The James E. Blake Collection of United States Colonial Coins & Tokens.” The PCGS website shows the four top-graded PLURIBS as AU50, EF40, and two VF35’s including this coin.  This coin realized $2,528.40 in the Heritage auction, and I value this coin at the PCGS Price Guide value of $4250 on my website and eBay.
