1788 M77-dd New Jersey 1/2p, W5535, Running Fox, R2. Authenticated and graded by PDGS as F12, and this is an exceptionally smooth and attractive example. Well-balanced on each side, with most details clear and with a bold Running Fox feature. Original medium brown and nice for this level of preservation. LDS with heavy cracks on the left side of the reverse shield. Purchased from Ken Byrd at FUN on 01/11/25. PCGS certification# 766251.12/59849445 with "Fox Before Legend, Maris 77-dd, Die State 3" listed on the label. PCGS Price Guide says $1200 in F12, but that seems too strong so I am offering this example at $1100 before discounts - make sure you SIGN IN to see net pricing!
