Description

1793 S-11b Wreath Large Cent, Lettered Edge, R4. Authenticated and graded by PCGS as VG8, and this is a completely original example with medium brown color and sharp VG8 details, including a full date. While the surfaces are original, they do show a nick or two on the obverse including one at the top of the 9 in the date, plus some very minor planchet flaws on the reverse. Overall a very nice example for the grade and price. There are two Lettered Edge Wreath Cent varieties, with S-11b being the rarer at R4, while S-11c is considered R3-. The S-11b attribution is listed on the PCGS label, certification# 35474.8/61249323.

Redbook Variety: S-11b Lettered Edge

PCGS Coin#: 35474
