1794 C-9 Liberty Cap half cent, High Relief Head, R2.  This coin’s last auction appearance was over ten years ago as Heritage lot #6210, sold on 09/25/13 and described as: “1794 C-9, B-9 Half Cent, XF40, Early Die State, 1794 1/2 C XF40 PCGS. CAC. C-9, B-9, R.2. Manley Die State 1.0. An important early die state before the die crack formed from the obverse border at 9:30 into the cap. This green-label PCGS specimen has pleasing and mostly mark-free light brown surfaces with two small reverse rim bruises.
