| 1794 S28 Liberty Cap large cent, Head of 1794, R2. This coin is a FR2 with some heavy reverse cuts, net PR1 (basal state). Not much to celebrate there, but the coin does have some massive appeal because it is a mint error that has been struck OFF-CENTER. Approximately 5% off-center to obverse K10, and very rare as such. When these come up at auction, they seem to bring huge prices, and I think this is the first off-center 1794 I have ever handled. Not a great coin, but a neat mint error from 1794. |
