1794 S48 Liberty Cap Large Cent, STARRED REVERSE, R5-. One of my very favorite large cent varieties, along with the Jefferson Head cent, and sadly I own NEITHER! This coin has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as PR/FR details Scratch. The scratch is obvious on the reverse of the coin. It's unfortunate because otherwise this would a nice AG3 with smooth surfaces, original glossy medium brown color, and very nice eye appeal for a low grade coin. This example is MUCH sharper in person, where you can easily read the date and make out several blurry stars on the left side of the reverse. Not perfect, but quite nice for a low-grade example. Ex-CVM. Without exception, my coins are sharper and more attractive in hand than in my photos. So if you like the photos, you will LOVE the coin!
