1802 S234 Draped Bust Large Cent, Normal Reverse, R3. This coin is a very nice F12 example that was lot #280 in the EAC 2011 auction, where it was graded as VG8. I will respectfully disagree with that grade as the coin certainly merits a F12 designation, especially if you allow some expected weakness caused by the broken dies that has created the "dripping paint" effect at LIBERTY. Really a super coin for the variety, and extensively pedigreed. Make sure you check out the description in the EAC 2011 auction catalog!
