1818 N-10 Coronet Large Cent, PCGS MS64BN CAC, R1.  Likely from the famous Randall Hoard, with several mint state examples known for this common variety.  Lustrous chestnut brown with traces of mint red in the crevices.  No obvious nicks or signs of circulation, although there are some TINY carbon spots scattered here and there.  Typical die cracks through most of the obverse stars and date.  Housed in an older PCGS blue-label, non-Gold Shield holder, which means that there is no PCGS photo on their website, and the N-10 attribution is also NOT listed on this holder.  My EAC grade is MS63+ and Average Plus, with a fair amount of red for a BN example.  Purchased from Steve Miller who purchased this coin from Numismatic America in November 2011 and then found an upgrade, so this example became Steve’s duplicate.  The PCGS certification# does not link to any prior auction appearances but does suggest a PCGS Price Guide value of $1,500 for a non-CAC coin.  Offered here as CAC-certified for $1,750.  PCGS certification# 1600.64/25569260.
