1820 N-13 Coronet Large Cent, Large Date, PCGS MS65+RB, CAC, R1.  Absolutely a WOW example, with bold red mint luster and incredible eye appeal.  The surfaces are nearly mark-free as evidenced by the MS65-PLUS designation, and the coin is well-struck and well-centered.  Cartwheel luster abounds on both sides, with a gorgeous mixture of mint red, dark chocolate, and ice blue toning.  In hand this coin is lighter and more “mostly red” as compared to the PCGS photos, so the real look is somewhere between my photos and the PCGS website photo.  What else can I say?  Nothing – so I will let the photos do the rest of the talking!  This example was purchased from a Great Collections auction, but that APR does not show up on the PCGS website, nor do any other auction appearances.  PCGS Price Guide says $4,750 for a non-CAC example, and this CAC beauty is being offered here at $5,500.   PCGS certification# 1616.65+/42387723.
