1820/19 N-1 Coronet Large Cent, Overdate, PCGS AU58 CAC, R1.  From the Heritage (internet only?) auction of 02/26/24 as lot #52215 where it was not described other than a pedigree reference as “From the Peter Sharrer Collection.”  I purchased the coin for $1,808.40 in that sale for The Chiro Collection.  This is a GORGEOUS example with soft, satiny mint luster over medium brown color that includes some darker chocolate toning on the reverse.  Virtually no marks to speak of, just good old-fashioned original copper!  The overdate feature shows a bold 1 beneath the 2, plus clear doubling at the 8.  My EAC grade is AU50+ and this is certainly a PLUS example.  PCGS Price Guide says $1,800; now being offered here at $2,250.  PCGS certification# 1618.58/25202177.
