 Description
HCH: From the H. Craig Hamling collection. 1836 J-MT-21 Medal from March 23, 1836, commemorating the first coinage struck from steam presses. Authenticated and graded by PCGS as SP(Specimen Proof) 63. Gorgeous dark glossy brown proof surfaces, with some tiny tiny chatter only. A very important medal, and a great, affordable example. H. CRAIG HAMLING TO SHAWN A. YANCEY 05/06/18; YOUR NAME HERE. Please note that the details are much stronger in person than in my photos - my lighting seems to be washing out some of the details. So if you like the photos, you will LOVE the coin!
Redbook Variety: 514737
PCGS Coin#: Julian MT-21 Bronzed Thin Planchet
Pedigree: See description!
Certification: PCGS
