Description
An interesting two-coin lot, with the main coin being a 1787 New Jersey copper M56-n, W5310, Camel Head, struck over a 1787 Connecticut copper M45-CC, and the second coin is an actual example of the undertype host coin which is an actual 1787 CT M45-CC. The NJ is an R1, and the CT is an R5+, but in combination perhaps this undertype is unique on a NJ? Each of these coins grades perhaps F15, and this represents a fun opportunity for some research! Purchased from Leonard Massa on 10/11/22.

Camel Head
