1786 New Jersey Copper M17-J W4860 R4 Narrow Shield Straight Beam VF30 O/S

1786 New Jersey copper M17-J / W4860, Narrow Shield Straight Plow Beam, R4.  This coin is a raw VF30 that has been struck over a 1788 Connecticut!  So let's ask ourselves some questions: if the struck coin is dated 1786, and the overstruck planchet is dated 1788, where and when were each of these strikes made?  Glossy medium chocolate brown with minor roughness; the 1788 date from the host coin is plainly visible to the left of the 1786 New Jersey date.  Mike's notes say VF30 and 115.7gr.  Purchased by Mike Demling on 06/29/4 on ebay; to me at EAC St. Louis 05/15/22.
