1787 Fugio Cent N1-L W6605 R5 Cross After Date STATES UNITED PCGS VG8

From the Furnace Run collection.  1787 Fugio Cent, N1-L, W6605, R5, Cross After Date, STATES UNITED.  This coin has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as VG8, and it is a smooth, glossy, medium peanut butter tan brown example that is VERY attractive, certainly above average for the grade and variety.  Newman 1-L is the ONLY variety that fits this Redbook / registry set requirement, and it is much harder to locate than the N1-B UNITED STATES type which is just R4.  All of the attribution points on both sides are clearly visible, and the coin has only some minor signs of circulation that are quite appropriate for this level of preservation.  This coin was formerly NGC F12, and that sticker remains with the coin.  Now PCGS VG8 with Newman 1-L Cross After Dated listed on the PCGS holder.  Ex-eBay 2018; Furnace Run collection.
