1787 Fugio Cent N3-D W6680 R3 Club Rays Rounded Ends PCGS VF35

From the Furnace Run collection.  1787 Fugio Cent, N3-D W6680, Club Rays Rounded Ends.  This coin has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as VF35, and it is a sharp VF35 with excellent glossy medium tan brown color and nice eye appeal.  This variety is easy to identify by the fat rounded sunbeams on the obverse.  There are actually TWO Newman varieties that meet this Redbook / Registry Set requirement, the other coin being 4-E, which is also R3 rarity.  There are some minor planchet flaws on the obverse plus a tiny scratch at K11 reverse, but otherwise this one is still above average thanks to the glossy tan brown color and nice eye appeal.  The Newman 3-D attribution is listed on the PCGS label.  Ex-eBay 2013; Furnace Run collection.
