Description

1787 Massachusetts Copper Cent, Ryder 4-D, W6110, R4. This coin has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as AU Detail Cleaned. Um, NO! Certainly not cleaned in my opinion, and there are hairlines or abrasions that suggest anything suspicous. Instead, I believe this coin has been fantastically recolored, and frankly if that was done then it was done so incredibly that the new owner won't care. I am 100% certain if the coin was shown raw, most would drool over having found a glossy dark chocolate brown rich-looking AU. Looks even better in hand than in my photos - buy the coin, not that nasty label! Ex-Ebay 2007; Furnace Run collection.
