1787 New Jersey Copper 1/2p M63-s W5375 Sprig Above Plow PCGS EF40 Large Planchet

1787 New Jersey 1/2p, M63-s, W5375, Large Planchet Plain Shield, R3.  Authenticated and graded by PCGS as EF40, and nearly CHOICE for the assigned grade!  Fantastic, original medium to dark brown color, nearly pristine surfaces with only the tiniest evidence of circulation, evenly-struck and well-centered, just a premium example of a New Jersey copper!  I purhased this coin from CVM on 02/16/23, but prior pedigree is the Heritage auction of 02/27/22, where this was lot #7004 and sold for $1680.  I would love to have this variety in AU50+, but holy cow, it will be very hard for me to ever turn this beauty loose!
