1787 New Jersey copper 1/2p M54-k W5295 Serpent Head R3 F12+ Original

1787 New Jersey copper 1/2p, M54-k, W5295, Serpent Head, R3.  This is a smooth original example with F12+ or better details, and a very nice look.  I would be tempted to call this fully VF20 thanks to the strength of the horse and the shield, but as always the coin is unevenly struck, and on this example, that includes the bottom half of the date which is well-worn.  Just a low-grade example, but surely a pretty one.  From the Furnace Run collection, purchased from CVM in 2017 for $475.
