Description

1797 C-3a Liberty Cap half cent, Plain Edge with Low Head, R3. This coin has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as G4, and it has a very pretty light tan brown color which gives is wonderful eye appeal. The obverse is G6 with everything full and bold, and the reverse as always is a point or two weaker at G4. Smooth surfaces and nice for a G4. Somewhat tougher "Low Head" variety, although still considered just an R3. PCGS Price Guide says $1,175 so I will offer this coin at $1,150 less your discount after you SIGN IN. PCGS certification# 1037.04/21062230 with "Plain Edge" on the label. A duplicate from the Furnace Run collection.
