Description

1797 C-1 Liberty Cap half cent, Plain Edge with 1 Above 1 in Date, R2. This coin has been authenticated and graded by PCGS as AG3, and it's certainly a PLUS coin with smooth surfaces, original medium brown color, and nice eye appeal. The obverse begs for G4 with a fully outlined portrait, strong LIBERTY, and full date including the 1 Above 1 feature. The reverse is AG3 and equally smooth and original. Maybe not fully choice, but certainly PLUS, especially for an AG3. PCGS Price Guide says $875 so I will start this coin at $850 less discount to my website members. PCGS certification# 35101.03/81757505 with "C-1 1 Above 1" listed on the label. A duplicate from the Furnace Run collection.
