Description

NCC-247: 1802 S-225 Draped Bust, Normal Reverse, R3, EAC EF40 net VF30. Very sharp dark chocolate and steel brown with a well-struck and well-centered strike, including full borders on each side. The surfaces are smooth to the naked eye but show just a trace of porosity that is barely visible, even in my enlarged photos. There are no circulation marks on either side, just that kiss of microgranularity resulting in the net grade. My EAC grade is EF40 net VF30, and although the coin most likely would not grade at PCGS, I still consider it close to Average condition and the glossy dark chocolate color is a huge plus.
