1812 S290 Classic Head Large Cent Off-Center Mint ERROR VF20+

1812 S290 Classic Head Large Cent, Small Date, R1.  This is a gorgeous, nearly choice glossy dark chocolate brown example that grades VF20+.  Fully glossy and original with some debris in the devices that attest to unmolested surfaces.  More importantly, this is a MAJOR mint-error, struck at least 25% off-center toward obverse K1.  The coin would be fully CHOICE but for a pair of dull digs on the obverse, one at star 1 and another between stars 4-5.  Otherwise, this is a glossy dark chocolate original example with wonderful eye appeal.  And the part I really love is that the direction of the off-center strike has kept the date as the focal point of the obverse.  Exceptionally nice for such an error.  Ex-Mike Demling; to me at EAC St. Louis 05/15/22.
