1823 N2 Coronet Large Cent Normal Date R2 NGC EF Details NICE LDS Cuds

1823 N2 Coronet large cent, Normal Date, R2.  This coin has been authenticated and graded by NGC as EF Details Cleaned.  Nope.  I do not see any hairlines but I do see some steel blue coloration that suggests a brushing with CARE or Blue Ribbon.  The coin itself is very sharp and attractive, and something I really like is the late die state (LDS), Noyes state C with obverse rim break cuds from K10-K11.  As mentioned the coin has a steel blue patina but the underlying color is a nice chocolate brown and the eye appeal is very nice.  The only detractions are some TINY nicks on the obverse, visible in my large photos, but mostly invisible in hand.  I hope the photos do this coin justice, because despite the NGC label, this is a very sharp, attractive coin.  The N-2 attribution is listed on the NGC label.  My EAC grade would be VF30+ net VF20+ Average, and that's probably too strict.  Purchased raw from Larry Briggs at SLNA on 02/11/23.
