1824/2 N1 Coronet Large Cent Overdate R1 PCGS AU53 CAC Choice!

From the Goldberg's sale on 09/13/20, where this coin sold for $2,880 from the Chuck Hall collection.  This coin was lot #143, where it was described as: "Lot 143 1824/2 N-1 R1 Overdate 4 over 2 PCGS graded AU53, CAC Approved.Choice glossy chocolate brown with hints of underlying lighter brown tones on the reverse. Satiny luster covers the protected areas and the eye appeal of this cent is outstanding. A tiny diagonal nick under star 8 and another dull tick under the left side of the O in ONE are the best identifying marks, and they are insignificant. MDS with minor crumbling in the dentils on the left side of the obverse. The overdate feature is clear. A common overdate variety but seldom seen this nice. Our grade is EF40.
