1827 N-11 Coronet Large Cent, PCGS MS65BN CAC, R1.  From the Goldberg’s auction #78 on 01/28/14, where this coin was lot #750 and described as: “1827 N-11 R1. PCGS graded MS-65 Brown. CAC Approved. Highly lustrous light olive brown and chocolate with original mint red in protected areas and attractive overtones of light bluish steel covering the fields. The satiny mint luster is unbroken giving this cent outstanding eye appeal. The only defects, and they are trivial, are a dark speck in the field right of star 1 and another in the field left of star 12. LDS with minor crumbling on the profile at the forehead and bottom of the nose. The dentils from star 13 to the below the 27 are softly struck but everything else is nicely impressed. Our grade is MS63. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. A beautiful cent that comes with an important provenance. PCGS population 1; 1 finer in 66.
