450-404 BC Attica Athens OWL AR Drachm NGC F 5/5 3/5 Ancient Greek Coin. "BMC.71 - - Sv.29 pl. 17 - Delepierre1446 - GC.2527 (125£) - Starr- - HGCS. 4/1631 - Flament- groupe I-III - Cop.41. Oval flan, centered. Nice portrait of Athena. Regular wear. Grey patina with light golden reflections." Purchased raw from an auction, and now authenticated and graded by NGC Ancients as F with Strike 5/5, Surface 3/5, and NO comments. Doing a quick scan of eBay and auction houses, these Drachm's seem to be much harder to find than the Tet's? Regardless, this is an extremely nice example for the grade and type. GORGEOUS color with plenty of icy blue and even a splash of maroon. NGC certification# 8232078-006.
